Designed by renowned architect Inigo Jones, Banqueting House is the only surviving building from the old Whitehall Palace.
The building itself is integral to the history of British architecture, as the first known neo-classical building to be completed in the UK. Inside, the main hall also boasts the iconic, Rubens Ceiling.
Banqueting House is also an important part of English history, most notably as the place of Charles l execution.
